How it works

Current limitations

  • Automatic backups for MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB. Only PostgreSQL has them (and only on plans with backup). For the others, turn on the database’s external access and create the dump from your machine.
  • SQL terminal and database password change. You can see the credentials but not change them in the dashboard.
  • Scheduled tasks (cron) per project. If your app has a scheduled job, it must live inside the app — and then the app must run with a single copy, or the job runs twice.
  • A volume mounted on more than one service of the same project. The volume goes to the primary service; mounting the same volume on two services on different cluster machines does not work.
  • Deleting the data inside a volume from the dashboard. Removing the volume undoes the mount; the content stays on the cluster.
  • Choosing a TLS certificate by hand. Certificates are issued and renewed by the platform; paths per domain are set in the address configuration.
  • Disk metrics per project and request counts per domain. CPU, memory and RX/TX network traffic per project are available in the inspector.
  • Infrastructure alerts by email. An application outage sends an email; a disk filling up does not yet.
